This project was very beneficial in helping me learn and understand how Wordpress works. While I do like that there are premade templates and widgets so the website-making process is easier, I found that Wordpress itself is not very user-friendly. This surprised me considering how long Wordpress has been around and how popular it is. I struggled with understanding when to make changes in individual pages/posts vs. when to make changes in the "Customize" section. Also, it was confusing how using a different theme completely changed how the "Customize" section was laid out. Overall, though, this assignment helped me in the long run and I see myself probably using Wordpress again in the future, thanks to what I've learned.
By the time I got to this part of the project, I had gotten a better handle of Wordpress. Although, the theme I chose had its own learning curves because the "Customize" section was formatted completely differently. I also wasn't able to fix my thumbnail images for each of my products so that they fit the entire image, but once the product is selected the image is shown completely. Learning to use WooCommerce is definitely a great foundational step if one were to start their own business, so I found this assignment very insightful.
